Work With Us

Collaborate With Us

BAM welcomes collaborations with projects that align with our mandate for conservation of boreal birds and that will enhance application of our results to decision-making.  We work broadly across a range of partnerships including federal, provincial and territorial government, academia, non-governmental organizations, Indigenous Peoples, and industry.

Consult our policies for collaborations and contact us to find out more.

Study With Us: Graduate Student Opportunities

PhD opportunity: species distribution and abundance models of Canadian owls.

If you would like to work on boreal bird ecology and conservation using pre-existing avian data, please contact us with your interests and plan to acquire funding (e.g., NSERC).

Work for Us: Job and Post-doctoral Opportunities

Currently there are no open staff or post-doc positions within BAM.

Volunteer With Us: Volunteer and Intern Opportunities

BAM has limited time to train volunteers or interns. However, please get in touch if you are based in Edmonton or Québec City, are interested in applied boreal bird science, and have specific ideas regarding your potential contribution to the team.

Contribute your Avian Data

The BAM project gratefully accepts avian point-count data from studies conducted within the boreal and hemiboreal regions of North America. To discuss possible data contributions, please contact BAM.

To discuss contributing data from autonomous recording units (ARUs), please contact the Bioacoustic Unit.
